Know the Travel Agency Before You Do Business

Outahere.com is 1) a member of the Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation, 2) holds your travel funds in a trust account until paid to the vendors, and 3) is registered with the California Attorney General.  Outahere.com/outtahere.us wants their clients to be well protected.

The Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation (TCRC) refunds travel cost to consumers from California when a business does not provide travel services due to business closure, bankruptcy, or default. Outahere.com/outtahere.us is a participant in the Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation.  Not all travel agents participate in this fund.

You, the passenger, may request reimbursement from TCRC if you are owed a refund of more than $50 for transportation or travel services which was not refunded in a timely manner by a seller of travel who was registered and participating in the TCRC at the time of sale. The maximum amount which may be paid by the TCRC to any one passenger is the total amount paid on behalf of the passenger to the seller of travel, not to exceed $15,000.

A claim must be submitted to the TCRC within six months after the scheduled completion date of travel.  A claim must include sufficient information and documentation to prove your claim and a $35 processing fee.  You must agree to waive your right to other civil remedies against a registered participating seller of travel for matters arising out of a sale for which you file a claim with the TCRC, if you were located in California at the time of sale.

Diana's Travel Bio
Diana has traveled all over the world, visiting more than 50 countries throughout her lifetime.  She has had the good fortune to meet up with people in many countries who have provided insights and information for the intrepid traveler.  The journeys she has taken include solo travel in North America, Oceania, Asia, Europe and Africa.  Small group travel has been with the World Orchid Society, the National Geographic Society, and various travel providers including Southwind Travel in South America, Geo Ex in Nepal and TCI in China.  She also is part owner of an ecotourism resort in the Caribbean.  These diverse experiences have gone in to provide the detail and personalization that people require for very individualized and rewarding trips.

Diana's primary hobby is travel and she is comfortable traveling on her own.  She particularly enjoys adventure travel and experiencing new lands, people and ideas.  She's studied French in Paris,  visited the home of the Whirling Dervishes in Konya, eaten couscous on the edge of the Sahara, sunbathed on Mykonos, has hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, rafted in Nepal, Peru and British Columbia, cruised down the Nile, elephant safaried in Nepal, safaried by jeep in Africa, swam with the sea lions and sharks in the Galapagos as well as hiking 8 of the islands,  scuba dived the Barrier Reef and  the coast of St Vincent in the West Indies, hiked  Mt. Souffriere, danced in Alaska and Hawaii and skied on South Island in New Zealand.
